Collin & Katie | A Naval Air Station Proposal | Pensacola, FL

Oh my goodness, how cute are these two? Collin’s mom reached out to me because her son was planning on proposing to his girlfriend Katie. The plan was for us to meet them at the Naval Base in Pensacola, Florida where we would be doing “family” portraits. This particular weekend was special for many reasons. Katie and her parents arrived in Florida the day before because Katie had graduation and Collin had just graduated from boot camp at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola. With such big accomplishments to celebrate Collin knew that this weekend was the perfect opportunity to propose to Katie.

Collin and Katie’s love story began two years ago when they met each other in high school. Collin says he bugged the crap out of her until she said yes to a date with him. Their first date was filled with family, food, and fun. He took her to meet his parents before they set off for a night of food and some glow in the dark mini golf.  He knew that night that she was the one for him.  

I met Collin and his family at the Naval Air Station gate.  We came up with a game plan and then drove over to meet up with Katie and her family.  I was so excited about this surprise proposal because I knew how special Katie and Collin were to their families.  I could see how much Collin loved and cared for Katie and I felt so happy to be a part of this big surprise.  

Katie and Collin, it was such an honor to be a part of this amazing day in your lives.  I wish you both so much happiness together.  May your love stay strong and may you go on a lifetime of adventures.
