Y’all! Today’s maternity session was one that I was looking forward to for so long. Brittany and Brad are one of my MJ Couples who I had the honor of photographing their wedding a couple of years ago. Brittany emailed me a few months ago with the amazing news that they were expecting. To say that I’m excited for them is an understatement. I absolutely adore this couple and they are definitely one of my favs.

I remember the first time that I met them at their engagement session at The Farm in Rome. Brad seemed shy and unsure of what was about to happen and Brittany was outgoing and full of life. By the end of their session Brittany and Brad had me rolling in laughter. They were so much fun to be around and I just knew that we would be instant friends. Today was no different. Even though I hadn’t seen them in two years it was like no time had passed. They have so much chemistry together and it’s so easy to photograph them. Our session today was extra special because I got to dote on the parents to be and highlight the natural beauty that comes with motherhood.

We met at Burk Farm in Rome and we were so worried that it would rain. It had rained earlier in the day and by the time I was headed to Rome it was sunny and beautiful. However, just as I arrived at the venue the ominous dark clouds overhead delivered on their threat of rain. It POURED! Thank God I got there 30 minutes early because by the time Brittany and Brad arrived the rain had stopped and the sun came out. We had the perfect weather for our session.

I am so incredibly happy for you both and I know you two will make excellent parents. Take in every moment of this amazing journey that you two are on. Thank you for choosing me to document these important moments in your lives. I can’t wait to meet baby Owens.
